Common questions

What does everyone get when I upgrade?

All Premium features become available to every member of the workspace: unlimited responses, surveys, recurring polls, exports, and the API. One upgrade covers the whole team.

What is a response?

A response happens when a team member responds to a question in a poll or a survey. A vote in a poll is a response; an answer to a survey question is a response.

What's the difference between a poll and a survey?

A poll is one question, posted in a channel, and team members vote on options. A survey combines up to 20 questions (scales, options, open text) and can be posted in a channel or sent to individuals via DM, with all the results collected in one place.

What happens if I hit the Free plan's limit?

When you're closing in on the 100-responses-per-month limit, you'll get a notification in Slack. Past the limit, no more responses can be added to polls you create until the following month. You'll never be charged for reaching the limit, and it resets every calendar month. For unlimited responses, upgrade to Premium.

What counts as a workspace member?

Full members and multi-channel guests. Single-channel guests, bots, and deactivated accounts don't count. You can see your billable member count on your dashboard.

What if my workspace grows or shrinks?

Pricing is per workspace, so day-to-day changes don't affect your bill. If your workspace grows or shrinks beyond your plan's size band, we'll be in touch, and after a month we automatically move you to the plan that fits your new size.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Log in to the dashboard and open Billing. You'll find the option to cancel or change your subscription there.

Do you offer discounts for non-profits, teachers, or student groups?

Yes. Fill in this form and tell us about your organization, and we'll get in touch about what we can offer.

Can I pay by invoice or purchase order?

Yes, on the Enterprise plan. Contact us to learn more. Premium is self-serve and requires a card on file.

How is VAT or sales tax calculated?

Whether VAT or sales tax applies depends on your location and the information you provide at checkout; any applicable tax is calculated and shown automatically during checkout. The prices above exclude VAT and sales tax. Simple Poll is a service for businesses.

Simple Poll lets us get quick feedback from our partners all over the world and helps us make the right decisions. It's the simplest thing in the world.
